Position Summary


The Associate Vice President for Orthopedic Trauma Practice Operations is responsible for providing leadership and direction in planning


, guiding and coordinating Sports Medicine, Trauma and Fracture Care, and Joint Replacement practice operations.# As a member of the Maine Medical Partners and Maine Medical Center Service Line leadership teams, this position will be a significant contributor to strategic planning and business development efforts and will be responsible for the successful implementation of these plans. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) MBA or Master#s degree in related field.

Minimum of five years progressive and relevant healthcare management experience. Extensive physician hospital practice integration and applicable program development experience. Knowledge and experience in developing and overseeing the implementation of annual business and strategic plans.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of healthcare administration, fiscal management, and government regulations and#reimbursements. Knowledge of HR management practices including supervision and staff development. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making to achieve organizational objectives.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, physicians,#executives and the public. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge and understanding of financials including AP and AR.

Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques. Proficient computer skills. Skill in organizing work to achieve goals and objectives.

Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

N/A Works with medical and administrative leaders to identify strategic opportunities. Establishes strategic relationship within the medical group, medical center, and across the MaineHealth system. Responsible for overseeing the implementation and successful achievement of the annual business and strategic plan for practices and service lines.

Maintains a strategic view of sources of revenue for the practices. Recommends solutions and assists with the implementation of changes. Director, Practice OperationsDirectly supervises the Director, Practice Operations for assigned practices, and facilitates goal setting, attainment, and#ongoing professional development.

Maintains a close relationship with the Director, Practice Operations such that issues can be addressed in a timely fashion. Assists in the development of quality standards and provide assistance in measuring and reporting quality improvements. Financial Management score:

N/A Assists in the preparation and implementation of annual capital and operating budgets. Makes recommendations for funding based on a thorough knowledge#of policies, costs and operating procedures. Conducts a monthly financial review for the practices outlining progress regarding#the implementation of the business plans and budget.# Performs variance analyses and develops and implements mitigation strategies as necessary. Works collaboratively with other members of Maine Medical Partners and service line leadership to ensure that opportunities are explored, developed and#measured against quality, safety, and efficiency and cost targets.

Responsible for acquiring and disposing firearms and the integrity of the ATF required A&D bound book, and maintaining a complete, thorough and accurate firearms inventory in accordance with all company, local, state, and federal firearm regulation / policy. Position responsibilities: * Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers and Associates. * Organizes and maintains firearms in all locations within the retail store to include Gun Counter, Fine Gun Room / Gun Library, and Gun Vault. * Ensure proper completion of ATF required forms, applicable state forms necessary for background checks, certifying and screening all potential firearm transfers for legality of the sale, complying with waiting periods or other possible state requirements, and preventing possible straw purchases. * Promptly respond to all ATF, or State Firearm Trace Requests. * Physically, and systematically receive / acquire incoming firearms and / or black powder using A&D log books and electronic A&D system, by close of business each day. Verifies gun accuracy to from steel of gun, to box, to receiving documents and manifests. * Responsible for disposing firearms shipped / transferred to licensed dealers, or stores, and for verifying disposition data fed from the electronic 4473 to the A&D book, by close of business each day. * Sets and maintains all ads related to firearms. * Conducts monthly firearms audits. * Assists with training of store associates as requested by the GM or Ops Support Reg. Mgr. * Contacts customers via telephone, certified mail or e-mail concerning necessary corrections to 4473 forms to keep the retail location in compliance with the ATF * Follows all Company policies and procedures. * Assure visual standards are met by up-keep and maintenance to include, but not limited to, restocking, remerchandising, cleaning fixtures, and vacuuming. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards within the department and back room including attention to proper facing of firearms tags and performing opening and closing duties. * Responsible for participating in ongoing training including, but not limited to firearms and shooting product information, diverse shooting discipline awareness, systems training, compliance related training, and selling skills / techniques. * Responsible for ensuring all firearms are acquired and disposed safely utilizing company protocols, proper and error free completion of all company forms, properly storing / locating, cleaning, and preparation of firearms for retail sale, working replenishment of firearms to the sales floor, properly packaging and shipping firearms in accordance with federal / state laws and company policy, safely checking / clearing firearms received by customers or via shipment, as well as mounting accessories / optics to firearms.
