Work with the VP of Business Development and Membership in setting the strategic direction for the Business Development Department. Direct Business Development Supervisor and provide support in meeting the departmental goals. Supports the VP in managing the Key SEG relationships and is a primary contact for the Key SEG contacts.
Ensures optimal support for Credit Union strategies, including positioning the Credit Union as the preferred choice for those within our SEGs.
Provides oversight for the Business Development Department
Maintains the relationships with the Key SEGs (i.e. ADP, Northrop, Toyota etc.) and is a primary point of contact.
Communicate efforts with the Key SEGs to the Business Development Team to ensure we have a consistent message when working with our various Key SEG site contacts (want to connect all dots)
Conduct regular meetings with the SEG site Branch representatives to ensure branches are fully aware of Business Development activities and we have consistent messaging with Key SEG site contacts
Develop and implement a SEG Prospecting Training Plan update as needed
Analyzes the Business Development territories annually and adjust as needed to support the strategic direction of the organization, meet the Business Development Departments growth goals and provide equal opportunities for the team members to meet their individual sales goals.
Analyzes monthly departmental reports to ensure data pulled is accurate and supports the ability to make data driven decisions for the department.
Collaborate with VP of Product Development to ensure products offered are the best fit for Key SEGs.
Evaluate the Business Development Sales Model to determine necessary changes or enhancements (goal is to focus on strategies designed to increase membership, engagement and create the best member experience possible).
Co-ordinate the installation of SEG onsite ATMs
Serves as a leader for department team members by role modeling appropriate behaviors.
Ensures the UNIFY Brand is being promoted accurately in the field by the Business Development Team (use logo, updated materials, etc.)
Conduct one-on-one meetings with the Supervisor providing oversight and support for the management of the Business Development Team.
Ensure all team members support UNIFYs values when interacting with other team members, members and SEG contacts
Serves as proxy to VP on key projects, meetings and initiative as needed. Effectively participates in strategic and tactical planning. Provides guidance and assistance on complex issues affecting operations.
Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Service Standards, policies, procedures and the Bank Secrecy Act.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
A Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related area preferred with a minimum of six years of sales experience (preferably in a Credit Union) and five years managerial/supervisory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service market preferred.
Requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Requires strong presentations skills, organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, sales skills and exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to interface with all levels of internal/external members.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook. Use of personal vehicle and valid drivers license required. Approximately 35% of travel time will be expected.
