About this Position
The managed investments AVP supervises the Lifetime Investment Program Asset Movement and Account Services Departments while assisting the department VP in assessing and streamlining operational functions. The duties of these departments include broker-dealer principle review, account activation, asset movement, and cashiering functions. The incumbent ensures all service level agreements are met and compliance standards are kept. Their primary responsibility is to mentor and supervise their team while being a hands on leader.
The estimated salary range for this position is 100K - 120K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
This position requires a series 7 and 24 license to function as and supervise broker-dealer principles.
A successful candidate will have experience in managed investment operations, preferably in the Pershing ecosystem.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes goals and determines projects to be performed by the AVP and staff members
Establishes project priorities and schedules deadlines to be met
Teaches, communicates and enforces company policies and procedures
Identifies problem areas and implements corrective action
Assists in the resolution of problems
Monitors departmental operations and offers assistance as required
Assists in the coordination of work activities with other departments or external parties
Performs needs analysis of departmental systems, procedures and workflow methods to identify enhancement opportunities
Assists in the initiation and implementation of workflow improvements and system enhancements as identified
Establishes and maintains records and reporting systems
Sets acceptable work practices
Consults with upper management
Recommends policies and guidelines to higher-level management
Makes recommendations to upper management concerning department changes, improvements, enhancements and benefits
Supervises staff
Assists the VP in the annual evaluation of employee performance
Identifies staffing requirements
Interviews and hires job applicants as needed
Counsels employees on acceptable work place behaviors, performance and other problems, complaints and in resolving grievances
Act as Broker Dealer Principal
Completes trading of non-program accounts, or program accounts in special circumstances or supervises a direct report acting in this compacity
Completes allocating of trade errors, margin calls, and other firm level activity or supervises a direct report acting in this compacity
Complies with Operational-Assessment Initiative -
Establishes departmental Operational-Assessment procedures
Monitors Team's compliance with Operational-Assessment procedures
Adheres to Operational-Assessment testing schedule
Reports identified issues to senior management
Professional knowledge
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
2 - 3 years managed investments operations experience preferably in Pershing's NetX360.
An ideal candidate would have 4+ years of experience using NetX360 and / or managing operations teams that use NetX360 for operational purposes
Series 7 and 24 required (Series 24 may be obtained learning agreement could be negotiated)
Strong prioritizing, organization, interpersonal, problem solving, analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, excellent judgement and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines for several simultaneous projects and manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently as well as being a part of a groups.
Flexibility in work schedule to meet the demands of the growing platform
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Series 65 preferred
Remote work may be available with stipulations in accordance with FINRA supervisory regulations
