TEAM OVERVIEW

FP&A is one of LPL's most visible departments, serving as the bridge between the firm's strategy and execution. The FP&A team serves as strategic business partners focused on providing actionable insights and recommendations that help business and finance executives make informed decisions and improve profitability. ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Vice President you will collaborate with leaders in Finance, Corporate Development, and our Business Units to support our growth objectives. You will be responsible for team leadership, creating accurate analyses and financial models, management reporting, and robust forecasts. The team is integrally involved in strategic investment analysis, including the support of growth initiatives and business case analysis. We are looking for a dynamic and influential leader with strong business acumen, corporate finance knowledge, and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Business Partner

  • Serve as the primary finance leader and partner for key business executives

  • Utilize data to tell a story and drive insights while making business recommendations

  • Think creatively and be solution focused when collaborating with business leadership and Finance colleagues

  • In partnership with the business, review operating and financial results identifying variance drivers and levers to enhance performance

Forecasting and Analytics

  • Build and review financial models ensuring they are accurate and updated to reflect evolving business dynamics

  • Develop driver-based forecasting models to support resource planning needs

  • Lead forecasting, expense management, & budget planning processes

  • Identify efficiency opportunities and implement effective solutions

  • Develop or enhance profitability models for existing and new lines of business, as needed

  • Deliver on ad hoc analysis, modeling, and additional responsibilities as required

Team Leadership

  • Effectively communicate analysis to support business decisions

  • Lead the delivery of accurate and effective executive-level financial presentations

  • Build a high performing team by focusing on coaching and developing team members on finance, technical, and general business skills

  • Utilize data to tell a story and drive insights while tailoring messaging based on the audience

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics (or a related quantitative discipline)

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, including variance analysis, budget planning, forecasting, and development of business analytics

  • Prior roles in FP&A, Treasury / Capital Management, Investment Banking / M&A, Consulting, and Accounting

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Self-starters who dependable, can work independently, and run with asks that come with little initial direction

  • Focus on continuous improvement in all financial related processes

Pay Range:

$93,920-$140,880/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
