Job Objectives:

Manage and grow a portfolio of environmental liability insurance business through strategic business relationships with wholesaler and retailer brokers. Utilize your business acumen and underwriting skills to develop pricing and negotiate terms and conditions in order to build a profitable book of business.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new and renewal environmental insurance products and negotiation of policy terms and conditions while adhering to Allied World Environmental Underwriting Guidelines.

  • Distribution management: market to and strategically develop brokers in order to produce new business and manage existing accounts.

  • Execute strategies as described and outlined in the Regional Business Plan.

  • Prepare quotes, binders, referrals, and underwriting file documentation in compliance with company guidelines.

  • Develop and manage positive and effective working relationships with a commitment to service for all associates (brokers, insureds, and internal personnel) leading to high customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate and perform regular marketing calls, account stewardship meetings, and events to promote product offerings, participate in local professional organizations, and remain current and engaged with existing and prospect insureds and brokers on key developments in the marketplace.

  • Continue professional development through relevant training courses, continuing education, and/or seminars.

  • 7 years of experience underwriting environmental insurance products including site pollution, contractors' pollution, and contractors' professional lines of business working with both retail and wholesale distribution.

  • Practical knowledge and experience with all environmental liability products and services.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to provide superior customer service to our partner brokers and insureds.

  • Strong analytical and computer skills.

  • Strong business and relationship management skills to develop new business, retain renewal accounts and establish long term strategic broker relationships.

  • Excellent organizational and desk management skills with ability to work independently and demonstrate effective prioritization of workload.

  • CPCU or ARM, designations preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree required.

  • Approximately 25% travel required.

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-14T00:00 The Portfolio Manager is responsible for all aspects of an assigned portfolio loans including but not limited to lines of credit, term notes and/or commercial construction loans. * Proactively manage an assigned portfolio by reviewing and analyzing the following: covenant compliance; availability/liquidity; collateral trends; financial performance and trends; annual reviews; ACH reviews; field exams; loan documentation; and Moody's and Loan documentation exceptions. Primary focus will be to make sure all of the required information is received timely, archived to the credit file (i.e. Treev), but also that all issues and trends (i.e. identify early warning signs) are noted and communicated to the relationship manager, division head and Chief Credit officer * Prepare Credit Approval Presentations to address renewals, modifications/restructurings, covenant violations and new money requests for assigned portfolio. Work directly with relationship manager to ensure all requests are addressed appropriately and timely. All presentations must include a detailed financial analysis, a comprehensive assessment of the collateral, and should concisely address all key credit issues with appropriate mitigants. * Proactively identify problem loans and recommend appropriate risk rating adjustments. * Prepare monthly/quarterly portfolio reviews and problem loan memos. * Work with the credit analysts to assist in their development.
