Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Data Analytics sits within the Client Analytics and Tools team. This position will support LPL's largest institution clients and focus on ensuring firm connectivity to support client satisfaction by delivering complex reporting, data analytics, and data consulting for the institutions.

By developing a thorough understanding of the institution's approach to doing business and knowledge of LPL's strategic initiatives, the AVP will be responsible for crafting and aligning effective data analytics solutions to assist the client in meeting their business goals and objectives. Additionally, the AVP Data Analytics will collaborate closely with the Large Bank Relationship Management team, to drive strategic decisions and optimize business performance through data insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytics and visualization skills, leadership abilities, an understanding of data engineering principles, and have a consultative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of data analytics strategies to support business objectives.

  • Manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities and drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.

  • Design and execute advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract insights from complex data sets.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related discipline, minimum of 1-2 years in an advanced analytical function is required.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills that enable efficient identification of issues, development of hypotheses, and the execution of robust quantitative analyses to answer business questions.

  • Intellectually curious and have a background in data analysis.

  • High proficiency with Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or Python for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), distributed technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake).

  • Demonstrated understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms

Pay Range:

$93,520-$140,280/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
