Role Summary/Purpose:

This critical role requires a passionate and proven marketer with demonstrated ability to drive growth and change through a focus on customers, people, process, and innovation. This role will primarily be responsible for developing and executing the consumer marketing strategy for the Synchrony HOME credit card program with a heavy emphasis on 'early month-on-books, activation and usage, growth and retention strategies.

The successful candidate will collaborate across functions to:

  • Develop and execute marketing plan to drive key growth metrics, including profitable sales, activation and retention for the Synchrony HOME program.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to drive cross-shop and repeat sales at Synchrony HOME retailers, and activation and sales at additional home retailers ("world store locations"), from furniture and dcor to appliances and more.

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns with 'test and learn' approach; evaluate and report on marketing program results; and refine and optimize future campaigns based on past learnings.

  • Leverage industry experts / consultants in home-related retail segments, technology, and consumer/dealer networks.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategy development and execution of campaigns across all lifecycle stages for existing cardholder audiences that drive maximum adoption and utilization while increasing customer satisfaction and profitable sales growth.

  • Coordinate omni-channel marketing strategies, including traditional and digital marketing. Build on current plan and make recommendations for future strategies and enhancements.

  • Partner with digital and servicing teams to maintain online servicing site and update/refresh existing cardholder facing landing pages and digital content.

  • Assist in development of modeling, forecasting, and ongoing measurement of marketing activity and cardholder campaigns to ensure optimization of investment and brand awareness reach.

  • Guide consumer research studies and integrate outcomes into the network via product expansions, modifications, and design decisions.

  • Collaborate with and coordinate alignment of strategy and execution efforts with the Synchrony HOME Business Marketing team.

  • Ensure program and Synchrony Financial performance goals are met.

  • Ensure company compliance requirements are satisfied as well as protections from enterprise risk.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
  • A minimum of 5 years of total marketing experience that includes at least 4 years of consumer marketing experience and 3 years of digital marketing experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Marketing experience in credit card networks with emphasis on dual-card or cobrand experience, financial services, or retail industry

  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and test and learn strategies including program/campaign design to effectively measure results.

  • MBA from an accredited institution

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
