The Synchrony Consumer Bank team seeks an experienced marketing professional to help guide and support brand communications for the Consumer Bank, by developing and executing communications strategies, and strengthening relationships with key audiences. This employee will work across internal teams and manage outside resources to help shape and drive brand experiences that support the Consumer Bank business objectives.
Manage a comprehensive plan for internal communications in partnership with Corporate Communications Team
Expand and maintain brand guideline documents
Partner with research agency and Analytics to enhance customer persona strategies
Track brand sentiment across first and third party sites, and develop enhancement recommendations
Act as the internal Public Relations lead for Consumer Bank
Continuously update brand voice across customer communications platforms: digital, letters, statements, alerts, app. Nuance for audience.
Create and manage a rhythm for internal story telling. Develop stories around people, awards and recognition, special offers and customer experience enhancements.
Manage Ratings and Reviews vendor and process, in partnership with Operations.
Identify and win awards that support SYB reputation and convey credibility to prospects
Produce and keep a record of competitive advertising
Partner with Caproate Brand team to ensure alignment across brand changes and campaigns.
Tell the stories of the Consumer Bank and develop a communication plan for Synchrony employees that includes key initiatives, awards and recognition, employee contests and highlights of our employees.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and 8 years of consumer marketing
5 + years of progressive experience in financial / consumer marketing positions
2+ years external communications experience that includes:
Strong writing style
Integrated Marcom experience
Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications
Knowledge of Banking and Deposit accounts (i.e. Savings, Checking, CDs, etc.)
2+ years of brand storytelling experience whether at a company or an agency. Previous PR experience helpful but not required
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
Strong inter-personal skills, with ability to influence across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated project management skills. Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
