Provides administrative leadership to the Cardiothoracic Service Line. Responsible for clinical services' business & strategic development within the Department of Medicines Division of Cardiology and Department of Surgery's Division of Cardiovascular Surgery for both the hospital and physician practice.
Develops/sustains collegial & collaborative relationships with all TUHS/LKSOM entities in the cardiothoracic and surgical programs of Temple Health. Collaborates directly with the COO of TFP, Physician Executive / Medical and Surgical Directors of THVI and Dept Chairs of Medicine/Surgery. Leads/manages services to maximize customer/operational/financial outcomes.
Develops/implements strategic initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness of the Service Line and day-to-day administration. Assures the coordination of staffing requirements and resources to meet patient care needs. Makes recommendations to achieve best practices, streamline operations, and identify financial and cost-based opportunities within the revenue cycle. Participates in strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Education
Masters Degree : Business or Health Care Administration (Required)
Experience
10 Years experience in a healthcare management role with accountability for performance across the continuum of care (inpatient and outpatient) (Required)
General experience in the leadership of an integrated service line with complex matrix reporting relationships (Required)
General experience with leadership in an academic medical center and experience with labor relations (Preferred)
