Assistant Branch Manager

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch. Ensures that the branch runs efficiently and remains in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and that the entire staff adheres to the policy and procedures that the bank has set forth.

Works closely with the entire staff on a daily basis to ensure that management's directives are fulfilled. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling, recruiting, training, evaluating, developing, and mentoring staff.

Supervises the Universal Banker, ensuring superior customer service, adhering to bank policy, and promoting the Bank's service-oriented philosophies.

Makes decisions on a continuing basis regarding procedural questions. Interprets bank policy as it pertains to specific transactions. Consults with manager on issues beyond their level of experience.

Possesses current, in-depth knowledge of the bank's products and services and employs this knowledge to provide appropriate solutions to customer's financial needs. Opens, closes, sells, and services all of the bank deposit consumer loan products.

Supports the new business development efforts of the branch manager through in-branch sales, phone contact with customers/prospects, and direct mail campaigns/follow-up , makes overdraft decisions within their authority.

Maintains a neat, orderly, and professional appearance of both the branch staff and the branch facility.

Oversee the entire branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Possesses thorough knowledge and ability to properly execute regulatory and compliance requirements. Possesses current knowledge of regulatory requirements, including but not limited to BSA, Reg CC, DD, E, and provides training to teller staff on an ongoing basis as needed.

Works closely with manager to control all expenses in the branch.

Participates in community activities and organizations.

Able to fill in on the platform or teller station if needed.

Adheres to all Bank policies and procedures.

Follows instructions for any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred

Five+ years in a managerial role with a proven record of sales and operational expertise. Excellent knowledge of bank policies and all regulations regarding AML / KYC. Must have experience in developing new business, and a good understanding of commercial lending opportunities.

Should be operationally proficient, with strong analytical skills

Must be able to deliver superior customer service and must possess strong leadership skills Must have strong sales skills and knowledge of all products and services

Ability to identify client's financial needs and then matching bank products to meet those needs

Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Assumes responsibility for the entire branch in the absence of the Branch Manager. Supervises and manages the Teller staff in absence of Branch Officers.

Estimated Salary Range: $66,000 - $72,600/annually
