Rialto Unified is looking for knowledgeable and dedicated college students and graduates at local institutions to join our AVID team by becoming an AVID tutor. AVID tutors have the ability to guide students toward academic and personal excellence, higher order thinking skills, and self-efficacy through tutorials.

JOB REQUIREMENTS * At least 18 years of age

• High School Diploma or a GED certificate (Verification required at time of employment) * Verification of degree OR current enrollment in a college or university

• Successful completion of the district's proficiency exam (a rigorous assessment that demonstrates knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics) AVID TUTOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION EDUCATION: * A High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree is required. (Verification due upon employment) * Acceptance letter or proof of CURRENT enrollment at an accredited college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student is required. EXPERIENCE: * No formal experience required JOB INFORMATION: * AVID Tutors will support our AVID Program in a Secondary (Middle or High) School setting.
  
  Tutors will work a maximum of 20 hours per week between Monday and Friday. Schedule will be flexible and based on student needs and the availability of the tutor.

The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto Unified School District website, in order to be accepted.

These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.
