Job Summary

AECOM is expanding its dynamic and innovative aviation planning team in North America and is looking for an Aviation Planning & Advisory Leader for the Americas to help grow AECOM's aviation planning business with large and medium hub airports throughout the U.S. In joining our team, you will significantly contribute to the development of large projects in the U.S and provide our range of airport clients with innovative and market leading solutions. This position will be responsible for business development, technical oversight, and leading and developing a team of project managers and subject matter experts across multiple disciplines. The position also involves integrating the aviation planning practice with our airport engineering and program management / construction management (PM/CM) practices in support of major airport capital development programs. Ideal candidates will have a desire to grow their career and take on roles of increasing responsibility. This position will collaborate with colleagues in Canada and Latin America to support planning efforts in the Americas.

As the National Aviation Planning Practice Lead you will:

  • Contribute to the development of our strategic growth plan of the practice and a corresponding organizational structure of the national planning practice.

  • Be challenged to develop and execute a strategy to grow the aviation planning business and identify new, innovative and emerging markets and service offerings throughout the U.S.

  • Conduct business development to secure new clients and projects. This includes identifying and tracking pursuits and participating in and/or leading proposals.

  • Identify and position the company for large planning and master planning opportunities

  • Lead a team of experienced and emerging professionals throughout the U.S. with responsibilities for people management, project management and business development.

  • Partner with and provide high quality technical advice to clients on airport development matters and identify innovative solutions to solve real world challenges.

  • Work collaboratively with our engineering and PM/CM practice leads to present the broad range of combined resources and capabilities to our airport clients.

  • Work collaboratively with our other transportation and environmental business lines to broaden our service offerings and expand our market reach.

  • Support our Project Managers and Technical Leads to delivery projects to program, budget and quality expectations.

  • Retain and manage relationships with existing clients and external colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Provide thought leadership ideas internally and externally

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 12 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) +12 YORE or HS/GED + 14 YORE; all including a minimum of 2 + years of leadership

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Bonus opportunities are tied to both company and individual performance and vary from year-to-year.) The salary range is $180,000K -$330,000K annually.
