Responsible for technical product support, training, and warranty management activities, engaging with customers, business partners, and working closely with Aviation OEM outside and inside sales and customer support personnel.

Education and/or Experience Required

  • 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year university
  • Valid and current FAA A&P License and/or local equivalent required to legally perform airframe and powerplant maintenance tasks.
  • FAA IA and/or local equivalent, private pilot License or higher, CFI, CFII ratings are a plus.
  • 10 years of mechanical experience with Lycoming OR Continental Piston Engines
  • Passion for General Aviation
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with internal and external customers, service providers, and business partner representatives by phone, e-mail or in person.
  • Provide technical trouble-shooting assistance for all piston engine product lines in accordance with approved procedures and policies, both remotely from the main base, and on-site at customers locations when necessary.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products, communicating internally with designated departments for investigation, and following up until completion.
  • Perform warranty administration including verification, tracking, coding, modifying claims, entering disposition decisions, while ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
  • Develop and provide technical training to internal and external customers.
  • Represent company at tradeshows and special events.
  • Support marketing initiatives and the execution and monitoring of campaigns.
  • Collect and report business opportunities and market intelligence.
  • Populate and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases, in accordance with company policies.
  • Partner with and/or assist inside and outside sales personnel when necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating customer visits to company sites.
  • Follow through on calls and ensures that they are properly closed.

Travel

  • Average: 50%. Must be willing and able to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, as well as other regions (including the US), sometimes in short-notice and/or for extended periods of time.

Position Summary: Responsible for the completion of all outstanding work coming from the plants and reparation of non-conformities created during the aircraft assembly process. Mechanic and Structures. Primary Responsibilities: * Completion of all outstanding work from the various plants * Perform repair work (non-conformities / concessions) * Removal and replacement of various system components * Rework of internal and external skin damage to the aircraft * Drill up and installation of structural components * Work in compliance with production work orders, design documents, concessions and inspection procedures * Prepare and solve queries, ensure follow-up and give feedback * Examine and sort work orders and drawings * Able to perform basic troubleshooting * Perform other duties as assigned. Other functions: * Participates in the maintenance/improvement of the Rework Department. * Participate in daily toolbox inventories to comply with tool control program. Education/Special Qualifications: * A High School diploma or equivalent. * 2+ years of aviation mechanic and/or structures work. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: * 2+ years' experience in aviation production. * 2+ years' experience in aviation production areas as a production and repair worker * Accumulated knowledge of production and quality rules in aviation obtained through education, prior employment or both * The job holder is able to read and understand blueprints, drawings and diagrams. * Able to effectively and accurately use close tolerance measuring devices that produce work product that meet close tolerances and reflects a clear technical focus and attention to detail. * Able to demonstrate personal responsibility. * Verifiable performance with of a positive work attitude and performance as a team player. * An understanding of Lean processes & concepts obtained through work experience and/or training. * Demonstrate effective communication skill. * Strong problem solving ability. * Able to use computer tools. Physical Requirements: * Vision: Must be able to read wire numbers, and differentiate colors. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions * Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. * Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. * Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms. * Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. * Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg. * Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on shop floor. * Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings. * Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. * Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information. * Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice. * Able to work outside hangers in changing locations.
