The Boeing Company is seeking new team members to join the PDX-Commercial Airplane Paint Operations group. This team operates out of PDX airport in the Portland, OR area.
Employees in this position are responsible to perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations on aircraft structure, systems and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics on standard or experimental certificated aircraft.
Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures. May perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspection tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications. Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
Perform Quality functions such as: Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures. May perform Aviation Maintenance Technician tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications.

Required Skills & Experience:
1+ years experience with commercial aircraft flightline or flight test
Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.
Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary
Previous avionics or electrical experience is required.
US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
A Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and / or a FCC License is preferred. If you have an A&P Certificate and / or FCC License, please note your certificate / license number on your resume.

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.
