Unit Description

Sodexo Aviation Services has an exciting opening for a Aviation Club General Manager at one of the private airline lounges at Tampa Airport (TPA). The ideal candidate will have excellent front of house guest services skills. As the Club General Manager of this lounge, you will have responsibility for daily operations and service staff including bartenders, food attendants and custodial staff for this private club/lounge.

This is a hands-on management role with daily interaction with clients and passengers. The ideal candidate will have food service knowledge, bar service experience, a strong eye for detail and overall excellent service standards.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions.

Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities

Job Summary The General Manager (GM) provides strong leadership and management direction on behalf of Board of Supervisors and while the GM is an associate of the management company, the GM will also report to the association Board of Supervisors. Key responsibility is to oversee the entire operation and consistently adhere to and perpetuate the mission and vision of the Board and community. Oversight includes but is not limited to client relationships with the Boards of Supervisors, committees and residents; client relationship with outside entities such as the City or County and its departments, Fire Authority, local Police Department, Water District, local utility companies. The purpose of this role is to create a single point of contact in the community, enhance communication and create effective oversight of staff and operations. General Manager has the sole duty of the day-to-day operations, legal compliance and overall oversight of the association and staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Partner with public, private, and volunteer organization to provide community services. * Knowledge of all Community Governing documents. Provide recommendations on revisions. * Work closely with the Boards of Supervisors within the governance model to develop the initial goals and priority issues. Continue to do so on a yearly basis and as needed. * Cause the implementation of the stated priority goals/issues/business plans. * Continual process of seamless connection between the Board of Supervisors and committees. * Provide community leadership and guidance to ensure that the needs or desires of the homeowners are being addressed. * Create, or cause to be created, and implement the annual working budget, subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors. * Monitor the monthly financial position of the association and report current standing to the Board of Supervisors, monthly. * Provide leadership to each meeting involving the Board of Supervisors in terms of agenda support and written and oral reports. Summarize the priorities of each meeting and complete, or cause to be completed, any/all directives within agreed upon timeframe. * Recruit, hire, train and supervise all community staff in accordance with the documented management plan, if applicable. Provide oversight of all targeted programs/alliances as directed by the Board of Supervisors. As economically feasible, pre-determine outsourcing to accomplish tasks/programs. * Work closely with local emergency organizations to maintain established emergency and community evacuation plans as appropriate. * Plan, coordinate and lead annual goal-setting sessions with the Board of Supervisors and other key participants of community. * As appropriate, confer with other departments, divisions and outside agencies, including community groups and organizations. Identify, develop and implement programs to meet community needs. * Assess and monitor community needs: identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures and developing new programs. Implement programs or improvements. * Attend and participate in professional group meetings. Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in fields of community management and community programming. * Project Implementation. * Executive decision-making capabilities; problem solving skills to include conflict resolution. * Review corporation policies on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with civil code, declaration and other requirements of governing institutions. Florida Sunshine Law and Florida Statutes 190, 718, 719 and 720. * Follows quality system procedures. Additional Duties & Responsibilities Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential core values and global service standards. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises all on-site staff and vendors. Education & Experience * Must possess or LCAM or CAI designation. * A minimum of 7 years of successful high-profile community management experience or equivalent professional experience in a related field, with at least 4 of those years responsible for a staff of no less than ten individuals with a variety of roles, backgrounds, and job assignments. * Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. * Management experience in a large organization including responsibility for more than one functional department or division preferred. * CCAM or CAI required designation preferred. * Valid Driver's License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance.
