JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for overseeing the financial transactions associated with the Aviation Technology Program (ATP) and Rotary Transport Pilot (RTP) concentration.

  • Works closely with the Aviation Administrative Coordinator to understand Aviation course curriculum, fee structure, and student flight hour trends.

  • Provides supporting analysis of the Aviation financials and solves account discrepancies in a timely and proactive manner.

  • Completes the following transactions, Budgeting, Supplier Invoice Reconciliation, Cash Flow Statement, Profit and Loss (P/L) Statement, Controls, and Student Account Reconciliation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calculate and monitor student balances based on monthly vendor invoices, interim reports, and daily college reports.

  • Conduct quality assurance analysis on monthly invoices.

  • Generate reports to track charges over time.

  • Conduct data analysis and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Prepare dashboard of Aviation data for management.

  • Compile student flight list with course fees/fuel surcharges per semester.

  • Monitor daily college reports for add/drop or withdrawal.

  • Ensure adequate funding for flight.

  • Loans on track to disburse

  • VA student responsibility is paid

  • Student flight charges do not exceed payment plan payments

  • Inform students of their balances as needed or upon request.

  • Collaborate with the Aviation Administrative Coordinator (AAC)  and the flight vendor to  manage the no-fly list.

  • Collaborate with the Office of Student Accounts to process and add invoices.

  • Report student financial status to AAC upon completion of courses AVI113, AVI214, AVI217, AVI 216,

  • Develop P/L for Aviation program and RTP concentration.

  • Ensure accurate accounting entries for Aviation student activity

  • Associate's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Minimum two (2) years' of Accounting experience.

  • Two (2) years' experience with QuickBooks.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.

  • Two (2) years' experience with Ellucian and Colleague.

  • Experience working in higher education.
