The AVDC Sr. Conveyor Maintenance Technician possesses strong technical skills and has performed conveyor maintenance in a distribution and fulfilment center environment.

They will lead and support by identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment in highly automated material handling systems. The Sr. Conveyor Maintenance Technician will help develop plans on how to accomplish department and operational goals.

1.Advanced knowledge & experience with highly automated material handling systems including pallet conveyors, ASRS pallet cranes, robotic depalletizers, carton descramblers, carton sorters, carton ASRS shuttles, print & apply systems, sick scanners, empty pallet stackers, multiple types of carton conveyors, hydraulics, PLC motor controls & systems, PC controls, Profibus communications, pneumatics, mechanical drive and electronic variable frequency drives.

2.Troubleshoots and debugs all issues including mechanical, electrical, or programming using the provided drawings, direction or write sections of the PLC application code. Modifies, adjusts, or develops robotic application code.

3.Marks-up drawings with any updates or changes as required. Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications and troubleshooting guides.

4.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

5.Maintains equipment and manages the parts and supplies inventories to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

6.Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

7.Trains and supports the Conveyor Maintenance Technicians (CMT) on the equipment operation and PLC controls. Supports CMT's by motivating, providing guidance, technical support and directions to help them achieve their goals.

1.4 - 6 years related maintenance technician experience and/or training.

2.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

3.Prior work in a Distribution Center environment is preferred.

4.Experience with Intelligrated Systems equipment, Dambach cranes, Fanuc robotics and IRIS computerized maintenance management software or equivalent experience is required.

5.Must have strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical aptitude, problem-solving skills and experience.

6.Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and read/interpret mechanical drawings. This includes experience with pneumatics and hydraulic systems.

7.Electrical Skills: Able to size circuits (wire, disconnects, conduit, etc.) and install for new installations. Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.

8.Advanced troubleshooting, installation, programming, diagnostic proficiency and repair of PLC and motor controls is required.

9.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to be effective. Must be proficient with MS Office products and operating systems.
