Job Summary

Avantor Services Onsite Lead Nordics is responsible for the wide range of Avantor Services Onsite portfolio at the customer location. The position is responsible for the growth of Onsite Services, implementation of new contracts and current agreed services across the Nordic region, plus management/development of existing Onsite contracts to achieve consistent and continuous service levels for our customers.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

Towards customers

  • Understanding customer needs and developing new business opportunities

  • Developing service opportunities, individually fitted to meet customer's demands

  • Understanding Avantor's agreement process and/or tender processes for related business area

Towards products

  • In-depth knowledge of Avantor Services portfolio and business area
  • A general understanding of Avantor and its product range

Towards market

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of market dynamics related to Avantor Services Onsite

  • Understand and analyse trends (internal/external)

Towards company

  • Together with the Sales force identifying leads, conduct sales activities with the sales team and our support functions

  • Understanding customer needs and answering to those with Avantor's solution.

  • Use own network for optimal implementation of Avantor Services

  • Ensures consistent follow up on ongoing business and regular (quarterly) customer review meetings

  • Being prime example of Solution Selling approach.

  • Develop growth and profitability against set objectives for their own profit responsibility

  • Implement group policies and Swedish objectives into local objectives, plans and budgets

  • To plan and ensure fulfillment of own budget (IOP - sales and cost)

  • Lead and coach the team, develop commitment and team spirit

  • Responsible for the working environment and health & safety for employees in the own team. This covers physical, organizational and social work environment and must be in-line with current laws and regulations as well as company policies and guidelines

  • Ensure that direct reporting employee's receive corporate information continuously

  • Ensuring synergies and co-operation with the company's entire sales organization

  • Ensure development of personal and professional competencies for direct reports

  • This role is a part of the Management Team across multiple countries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related area required

  • 3+ years' experience in similar job and branch

  • Extensive experience of working with services

  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and collaborate across internal functions within a matrix structure

  • Leadership experience combined with a structured and committed approach, capable of coaching leadership

  • Ability to develop and motivate team

  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written Swedish and English

  • Strong team player

  • Specific knowledge of sales B2B

  • Flexible, decisive and strategic

  • Business acumen and excellent negotiations skills combined with a motivating spirit and a constant driving to develop business strategies

  • Complies with the competencies of Avantor: developing people, analytical & critical thinking, collaboration & teamwork, continual improvement & innovation, customer focus, driving results

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills
