St. Charles Community College is seeking a full-time AV Project Coordinator who will coordinate all audiovisual (AV) projects and AV events at the main campus and off-campus, including AV event support, AV classroom support, media duplication and computer support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages all AV activities on campus. Works with master calendar scheduling assistant to coordinate coverage for all AV activities.
Project management for AV needs. This includes working with vendors to evaluate new technology, setting up walk-throughs for new AV needs with vendor and faculty/staff, preparing quotes/requisitions for new AV needs and making sure all inventory is up-to-date.
Manages AV budget and prepares strategic plans for AV technology replacements and additional AV classrooms on campus.
Works with Deans and Directors to prepare all AV enhancements to classrooms and meeting rooms on campus.
Trainer for the Technology Support department for all AV related requests.
Provides audio/visual equipment maintenance.
Sets up audio/visual equipment such as video camera, audio amplifiers, and computers, along with slide, video, data and overhead projectors.
Assists with the operation and maintenance of technology classrooms. Familiar with Extron control systems, projectors, document cameras, smart boards, interactive TV, and setting up the cabling for all components. Videotapes campus activities.
Provides media instruction for faculty and staff.
Makes recommendations on purchase of audiovisual equipment to the Director of Technology Support.
Operates audio/visual equipment, including audiovisual capture equipment, data projectors, public address (PA) amplifiers, photography equipment; laptops and computers.
Works with Help Desk Manager to manage workflow for AV needs.
Provides Tier II computer support, as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS/BA four-year degree or 5-7 years working experience in audio/visual equipment operation and repair (see essential duties). Experience working with vendors to purchase audiovisual equipment. Experience coordinating schedules.
