The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking an AV Program (Master Creston) to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois. The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command's infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6).
The successful candidate will provide their Master Creston expertise to the Video Conferencing (VTC) and Audiovisual team providing all facets of customer service including, designing, installing, programming, maintaining, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting of video conference and briefing support facilities.
Responsibilities
Responsible to engineer, design, program, integrate existing, and install new AV/VTC technologies.
Responsible for performing all control system programming for audio visual systems.
Works with Design Engineer and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling audio/visual equipment.
Maintain and update the VTC architecture, to include a graphical representation. Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with configuration management processes.
Plan, perform and document preventative maintenance on equipment suggested by the manufacturer. Update firmware to the approved/recommended versions as required.
Provide utilization metrics for VTCs on a recurring and adhoc basis
Provide training to users to ensure proper use and care.
This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.
Qualifications
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience
DoD Secret clearance
Must have a Master Crestron certification
Significant experience programming Crestron audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments.
Ability to interpret customer touchpanel interface requirements and develop intelligent, intuitive, functional user interfaces
Experience designing audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments.
Understanding of electronic system architecture and design.
Strong analytical reasoning skills.
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Ability to lead projects and managing timelines to completion
Speaks and writes fluent, grammatically correct English
Experience researching and writing excellent documentation and examples for technical personnel
Experience with MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel and Project
Ability to manage multiple, high, & competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels
Self- starter and problem solver
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to personnel at all levels of experience and responsibility
Ability to become familiar with basic project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
Technical writing and documentation skills.
Configuration and change management experience working directly with/for a Government customer.
Desired Qualifications
Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience
DoD TS/SCI clearance
ITIL Foundations V4 certification
An AV/VTC certification, such as: CTS, CTS-I, Creston DMC-4K, Extron AV Assoc
