Job Description:

GDIT is excited to support the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in meeting their mission to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation. The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC's IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC.

We are currently seeking an AV Engineer SME to support the program onsite in Washington, DC. Candidates must be eligible to obtain an SEC Public Trust suitability. The duties and required skills are below:

Duties:

  • Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for the backend VTC infrastructure.

  • Develops processes, procedures, SOPs, and post productions documentation.

  • Leads AV/VTC infrastructure team and assists in complex troubleshooting.

Required Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience as a subject matter expert in backend VTC Infrastructures and architecture.

  • Must be an expert in architecting Polycom systems.

  • Must be Polycom Certified

The area partners with all key stakeholders across GW to equip students, faculty, and staff with the technology and tools necessary to achieve academic excellence. This position works within GW Information Technology and ensures collaboration with both University stakeholders and external vendors. This senior position is the subject matter expert for AV technology to be used in GW's learning and collaboration spaces. The position is responsible for oversight of audiovisual design engineering workflows and deliverables for projects, configuration of devices as they pertain to the support and enhancement to current audiovisual infrastructure. Develops and maintains equipment configuration templates and instructions and performs quality control on new or renovated spaces. Develops conceptual plans, test fits, and Rough Orders of Magnitude for projects. This position typically reads and creates audiovisual systems drawings to build properly functioning systems on large projects. This includes the specification of equipment, wiring of equipment, and ability to interface AV equipment within classrooms. This role interfaces with architects and other design trades to ensure a complete classroom system. Additional responsibilities include, training support staff on audiovisual system testing practices, remote management of audiovisual systems and serving as a mentor for all support staff involved in daily operation of learning space technology.
