Essential Job Functions

  • Oversees and develops marketing content and campaigns for a variety of department programs to different audiences, while maintaining a consistent message

  • Leads and manages all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and efforts for the department

  • Develops, manages, and measures results for annual marketing plans to include achievement of sales goals for meal plans, retail, residential experiences and catering

  • Acts as a primary liaison and builds relationships with other university departments to enhance services provided by the department

  • Develops, leverages and researches marketing platforms that may be used to promote services offered to customers

  • Oversees, evaluates, reviews and reports on all marketing activities and results and makes recommendations to support future department marketing efforts

  • Maintains JWU standards in print and online formats and educates the university on its continuing use

  • Maintains customer satisfaction by resolving customer concerns relating to food safety and foodborne illnesses, as needed

  • Monitors the departmental budget

  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree

  • Moderate amount of experience working in food service marketing or other related experience

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
