We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our growing Autonomous Vehicle (AV) business team! AVs are an important part of Ford's future and we're looking for the best and brightest. The role will require critical thinking, problem solving capabilities, and a "get it done" attitude to help make strategic decisions that will enable Ford to be a leader in autonomy, connectivity, mobility, analytics and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the local market for successful business launches.

  • Events and Media

  • Grow the business through effective local marketing and partnerships.

  • Support local AV events, media commitments, and interviews.

  • Develop proactive marketing, PR, influencer outreach, communications support, and networking.

  • Local and City Relationships

  • Establish relationships required to execute specific AV projects.

  • Manage local regulations and policies.

  • Engage with public sector, private sector and local partners, including relationship building, collaboration efforts, progress sharing, & community outreach.

  • Marketing and Sales

  • Drive local sales, marketing, and customer acquisition efforts.

  • Develop relationships with potential customers to understand their businesses and needs.

  • Manage special projects to ensure the success of businesses in-market.

  • Team Member

  • Become the local extension of the brand.

  • Demonstrate initiative and self-governance as a remote member of the team.

  • Operate with a spirit of collaboration, voice relevant concerns, and communicate effectively with the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, operations, marketing, communications, sales or market expansion.
  • 2+ years of experience communicating with internal and external stake holders, public officials, business owners, media, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in assisting the development of local market, launch campaigns, or relationship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in start-up or technology environment

  • Graduate degree in Public Policy, Marketing, Communications or MBA with 5+ years in a related role

  • Superior presentation skills, both in person and written correspondence

  • Excellent project leadership skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interest

  • Ability to think and act independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Anticipate and plan for emerging technologies in the AV sector

  • Proficient in the ability to plan, organize & drive results in an unstructured environment
