Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities of Tire/Maintenance Technician :

  • Learn how to diagnose and repair basic systems to become certified in a minimum of 5 areas with a preference for brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical

  • Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters

  • Install batteries and checks electrical systems

  • Install and perform tire maintenance

  • Road test vehicles

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn basic mechanical tasks

  • You'll also need a high level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Pre-employment drug test/physical/ background check will help assure we build teams of people who can best work with others and serve customer needs.

Have what it takes? Join us. Position Summary: Responsible for maintenance strategy and task execution that results in high levels of availability for facilities and capital equipment. They will also provide direction and support to the maintenance technicians while serving as a working lead. They will repair, program, and maintain production equipment and machines. and are responsible for the upkeep of the buildings, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating and cooling systems. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; pneumatics; hydraulics; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; repairing buildings, floors, and ceilings and troubleshooting in accordance with the blue-prints, manuals, and building codes. Technicians usually work full-time, which may include nights, weekends, and on-call hours for emergencies. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Keep machines, mechanical equipment and the structure of establishment running during production. * Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and hydraulic, electrical and electronic testing devices. * Perform routine Preventive and Predictive Maintenance as per the schedule to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. * Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. * Prioritize the work based on importance and delivery time of the project and production schedule. * Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. * Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment according to the layout plans. * Inspect gauges, valves, pressure regulators, drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. * Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery and remove any scrap material. * Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools. * Order replacement parts by for the machines by selecting a vendor after research for part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for a cost-effective investment. * Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work in the PIMS work order database * Work using safe practices while maintaining compliance of all safety regulations. * Implementing improvements and participating in safety/OSHA training and committees. * Maintains complete documentation for each manufacturing machine regarding repairs, upgrades, and other relevant data in the PIMS work order database. * Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Supervisor. * Report any accident occurred in the plant related to the person, equipment, material or any other to the Supervisor as soon as possible. * Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Employee Handbook and adhere to the proper code of conduct. * Ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures. * Ensures work area is clean and safe at the end of each workday. * Attend scheduled training programs to enhance skills and for safety purposes. * Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements: * Valid Florida Master Electricians License * Minimum 8 years' experience in the electrical field * Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory role * Excellent color vision * Skillful hands * Analytical expertise * Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics * Analytical expertise * People skills * Experience of working with PLCs * Knowledge of HVAC * Familiarity with injection molding machines * Knowledge of hydraulic systems * Maintain records. Strong documentation skill * Flexibly staffed * Basic machining skills (weld, mill, drill, surface grind) * 10 years experience in mechanical/electrical/electronic repair or comparable education and training relating to facilities and capital equipment maintenance. * Advanced knowledge of blueprints and electrical diagrams. * Proficient in use of safety lockout/tagout procedures, including the ability to work safely with 110, 220 and 440 voltages. * Willingness to travel and receive additional training for new technologies in machines and equipment. * Ability to operate a personal computer; Microsoft Office experience preferred. * Comfort with potential hazards * Awareness of the possibility of electrical shocks, scrapes and bruises, cuts, and exposure to toxic materials. * Physical strength to lift 50 lbs or more * Safety: Demonstrates awareness of safety requirements throughout the entire plant and wears appropriate PPE for assigned work. Motivates team to use appropriate PPE. Oversee the Lock-Out/Tag-Out processes. Recognizes potential safety risks and resolves with corrective actions or escalates appropriately to ensure the safety of assigned teams. * Continuous Improvement: Oversee team to complete work in compliance with established standards, including maintenance process conformance and response time. Maximizes value from maintenance management software by tracking TPM. * People: Assist in establishing clear goals and objectives for all maintenance employees. Assist in the development of new skills in team members, and assist in the management of employee growth. * Training: Accepts training and coaching from leadership. Oversee training of new employees. Trains capital equipment users in operator-led maintenance requirements, and engages machine operators in scheduled maintenance tasks for key equipment. * Environment: Oversees environmentally-appropriate workplace maintenance habits, including 5S. Recognizes environmental risks in processes and resolves with corrective actions or escalates to ensure environmental stewardship within the facility. * Maintenance Strategy: Assist in aligning capital budget, contract resources, and human capital resources necessary to maintain both the facilities and capital equipment in a state of good repair. * Customer Service: Drive highly-responsive customer-service culture among direct reports, indirect reports and maintenance contractors focusing on facility users and capital equipment operators as the maintenance customer.
