The Mechanical Associate I will be responsible for performing general vehicle inspections and entry level repairs for the mechanical reconditioning process per CarMax Quality Standards. These duties include, but are not limited to, inspection of tires, brakes, batteries, and fluids, oil changes, replacement of air filters, and identification of frame, rust and flood damage.

Must be able to perform multiple duties in a fast paced environment, provide outstanding customer service, and follow workplace cleanliness and organization standards.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, breaks, heating and air conditioning

  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance

  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time

  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

  • Possession of a valid driver's license

VIEW JOBS 4/10/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-09T00:00 Position Description The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc., is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineering Section Manager for its Advanced Engineering, Integration and Test Department. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Dynetics is involved in multiple contracts to provide hardware and systems for high energy weapons, launchers, Hypersonics, and target surrogates for a number of DoD customers. The successful candidate will serve as the Mechanical Engineering Section Manager that will manage a group of mechanical engineers, designers and/or analysts to support the mechanical design of weapon system structures, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies. This position will require an understanding the development of 3D models, manufacturing drawings, technical design packages, and hardware development. Applicant will be required to interface with machinists and technicians for fabrication/assembly, along with participation in system and subsystem test events. This position is primarily a technical engineering function (less than 90 percent) along with a direct line management responsibility (more than 10 percent). Basic Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience. The following skills/abilities are desired: * Experience in requirements definition, design, development and test of hardware systems * Experience in management of hardware design teams to include developing integrated master schedules, and planning required to execute small to large sized programs * Must have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing * A background in DoD programs is required. Candidates must have good organizational skills and attention to detail, and work well in a team environment * Experience with Creo Elements/Pro (formerly Pro/ENGINEER) * Knowledge of missile mechanical structural systems including cast, forged and machined parts * Experience with environmental testing of missile components and related test equipment * Experience with compatible materials, fasteners, coatings, processes and assembly methods * Knowledge of ASME drawing standards * Organizational skills to document designs * Knowledge of Technical Data Packages (TDP) development Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
