The Technician/Mechanic position requires experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using leadership and mentoring skills in driving a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is part of Bridgestone Americas and employs over 22,000 teammates in North America. Change oil, transmission fluid and filters

Install batteries and checks electrical systems

Tire maintenance

Install parts

Road test vehicles

Other duties as assigned

  • Reading and writing

  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks

  • Must have a valid automobile drivers license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles

  • Must have a minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment

A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 is required. (New hires with external similar qualifications/certifications will have up to 2 years of employment to comply)

This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality. Essential Requirements Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Trade School Preferred ASE Certified Professional Experience: At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience Knowledge: Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools Additional Notes: Must have tools to perform necessary repairs Must have a Valid Driver's License Hertz is a Drug Free Workplace.
