Position Information

Automotive Stores Clerk (SR-10)

$3,194 - $3,884/month

Responsible forordering, purchasing, receiving, storing and issuing spare and replacement parts, equipment and expendable items used in a major automotive repair shop.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Receives, stores and issues spare and replacement parts, equipment and expendable items used in a major automotive repair shop;

• Orders and purchases parts and accessories;

• Maintains inventory records through a computerized maintenance system and stock record cards;

• Performs other related duties as required.

Current Vacancy Information:

• There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Facility Maintenance, Automotive Equipment Service Division.

• There is one (1) vacancy with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Water Systems Operations - Automotive.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Two years of experience in the issuance and storage of automotive parts and accessories or equivalent work experience which shall have demonstrated knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

Possession of a valid driver's license (Type 3), as required.

The following license and certificates are required for the HFD vacancy at the time indicated:

• Current valid driver's license (automobile/Type 3), prior to appointment.

• Forklift Operator's certificate, prior to completion of probation.

The above certificates and licenses must be maintained on a current basis thereafter as a condition of employment.
