The Automotive Platform team is looking for a Security Engineer to help develop and bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with talented and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and meaningful challenging.

What you'll be doing:

  • Be involved in the development of our groundbreaking security architecture for self-driving cars, with an opportunity to craft its future

  • Perform security threat modelling and analysis of our automotive platform

  • Work with teams in the discovery and mitigation of new vulnerabilities

  • Assist with defining and making sure software development processes meet security and coding standards

  • Design and make security recommendations to satisfy automotive security guidelines and requirements

  • Mentor teams and developers, promoting guidelines on best security practices

What we need to see:

  • Demonstrated course work or experience in a security related field

  • Familiarity with computer system architectures, OS architectures, and networking systems

  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++, algorithms, data structures, and scripting languages

  • Familiarity with applied cryptography, threat modeling, and common attack vectors

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment

  • Requires a BS degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering plus 4+ years of experience

Ways to stand out in the crowd:

  • Demonstrated security research experience and publications

  • Excellent background in theoretical cryptography

  • Familiarity with SoC fundamentals (e.g., caches, buses, memory controllers, debug)

As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at Gigamon, you will work closely with Gigamon's IT Operations, Engineering Services, and other teams to help define, build, and operate Gigamon's internal infrastructure and infrastructure security tooling. Responsibilities: * Handle infrastructure security incidents and perform investigations and participate in on-call escalations * Assess infrastructure and environments to help identify and prioritize risks and vulnerabilities * Perform basic red team exercises, conduct internal pentests, internal social engineering exercises, etc. * Harden network infrastructure including VPN, wireless, firewalls, and by relevant segmentation schemas * Help improve endpoint security in a blended Windows, Mac, Linux, on-prem, and cloud environment * Evaluate and recommend infrastructure security tools * Evaluate and deploy critical patches needed for production systems * Help with periodic risk management reviews in concert with Gigamon Engineering, IT Operations and upper management * Participate in IT and security audits Example Projects: * Design, configure, and maintain production IDS and NIDS systems * Evaluate and document SOAR, SIEM, or other security platforms * Work with Engineering to deploy, test, optimize, and build novel use cases of the Gigamon product line * Side-by-side test and documentation of endpoint security solutions Requirements: * Experience with security incident management and response * Experience with internal and/or external penetration testing * Experience with popular security tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Hashcat, Burp Suite, Shodan, etc. * Experience with HIDS and NIDS tooling (OSSEC, Snort, Bro, Suricata, etc.) * Solid scripting skills (Python and/or Powershell) * Strong networking and infrastructure experience Bonuses: * Experience with common security scanning tools (e.g. Nessus, Qualys, IBM AppScan, etc.) * Experience working in a blended internal and MSSP security operations environment * Experience in playbook or automation development for SOAR * Proficient in Windows and/or Linux OS Internals * OSCP or CEH certified Gigamon Santa Clara CA
