Role and Team

  • The Quality Associate is an individual contributor role responsible for executing quality control processes to improve the quality of vehicles coming out of our VLC Inspection Centers, ultimately improving the overall ADESA customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multi-point quality inspections on the interior & exterior of vehicles.

  • Develop an expert-level knowledge on vehicle quality standards while executing quality checks at a high level.

  • Enter data into the CarCheck and CARLI systems.

  • Make autonomous decisions on which vehicles will pass the quality check.

  • Move vehicles that fail quality checks to and from reconditioning/rework areas.

  • Create repair orders and build estimates for vehicles that do not pass the quality check.

  • Partner with Technicians and Post Production team members to build repair estimates as needed.

  • Operate company-owned vehicles on company property, but not on public roads.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

  • The physical activity requirements of the position range from Light to Medium Physical Work.

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
