What to expect:

Systematically evaluate the performance of AD/ADAS systems, with a focus on US-market specific conditions. Review collected measurement data to identify, analyze, and document potential issues found during testing.
Review all system faults with first level analysis for root cause and defect routing.
Track open faults, provide support to functional owners for further fault analysis, and defect fix confirmation.
Maintain a fault tracking system, showing current defect status, responsible party, and fix plan and timing.
Follow-up with responsible functional owners to track fixes back to SW releases and make sure tickets are being closed in a timely manner, and escalating where necessary.
Summarize faults and findings into summary reports, which need frequent updates. Submit to responsible departments in a systematic and timely manner. Provide Release Recommendation reports as required, based on system performance in the local market.
Actively work on process development and continuous improvement.

Technical contributions for all USA and Canadian-market topics to support the related development departments for local market adaptations. This can include system specification reviews and revisions, certification and regulatory reviews. This includes both SAE Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Level-3 Automated Driving projects and responsibilities
An understanding of competitive AD/ADAS systems in the US-market, including system attributes, system performance, and driver feedback and monitoring performance. Utilize this knowledge to review and judge product performance objectively and subjectively compared to competitive systems, and provide feedback and actionable improvements to development departments.
Create component and system performance specifications based on unique USA market road and infrastructure conditions, traffic conditions, driver behaviors, or customer expectations

What you bring along:

Bachelor's of Science Degree, preferably in Engineering (computer, computer science, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, etc)
Minimum1-2 years of experience required.
Knowledge of Automated Driving and Driver Assistance Systems. Knowledge of competitor systems and all AD/ADAS sensor technologies.
Understanding of vehicle development process. The ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic and fault measurements to trouble shoot issues.
Ability to coordinate across multiple departments in order to deliver on-time results in a dynamic environment.
Ability to organize tasks and report task status clearly and efficiently to our team, stake-holder departments, and management as needed.
Experience in intercultural environment. Must be able to independently build-up working relationships with intra-company expert departments in Germany.
Ability to travel up to 10% including domestic and international business trips and test drives. This includes test trips that could require overnight and weekend travel

Other licenses or certifications required :

Driver's license.
Preferred - ability to test drive vehicles and pass Daimler driver T2 level certification that evaluates the driver's control of the vehicle dynamics at limit-handling conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

German language skills, written and spoken could be helpful.

USA and Canadian-market-focused testing of Automated Driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.


Hybrid- minimum 3 days in office
