Our Service Centers are continuing to grow and so does our need to develop more Automotive Mechanics. We're looking for candidates at all levels of automotive skills. At National Tire and Battery our Automotive Mechanics benefit from our Career Road Map training and company paid ASE Certifications. Levels of Automotive Mechanics:

  • Technician C: Basic automotive repair experience in brake services, suspension and basic electrical systems.

  • Technician B: Automotive repair experience in steering & suspension and alignment services; brake services; and cooling system services. A Technician B possesses the G1, A4 and A5 ASE certifications.

  • Technician A: Automotive repair experience with engine diagnostics, suspension, brake services, electrical and A/C systems. A Technician A possesses the G1, A4, A5, A1, A6, A7, and A8 ASE certifications.

  • Master Technician: 5 years or more of Automotive Repair Experience with ASE Certifications A1-A8.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts vehicle inspections for mechanical services

  • Perform automotive repairs

  • Perform schedule automotive maintenance services on vehicles

  • Perform tire installations and repairs

  • Assist in receiving and stocking inventory

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Automotive Repair experience

  • Tire and Lube experience

  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Criminal Background Check

  • Pre-employment Drug Screen

  • Must be 18 years or older

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities You will serve as the Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic, responsible for the repair and maintenance, installation, and operation of all CG C5ISC heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: * Serving as a Lead, directing a group of six subordinate workers that are engaged in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment (HVAC&R). * Operating, starting, and shutting down equipment for proper operation and mission accomplishment. * Performing corrective and preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and compressors. * Maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, boiler tubes and drums, burners, flame safety equipment, chemical feed devices, conductivity system, valves, steam traps, strainers, gauges, pumps, fans sluice gates, traveling screen, heat exchangers, instrument and service air compressors, fuel oil tanks, chiller compressors, and refrigerant transfer systems. * Providing Quality Assurance checks for HVAC work orders completed by other FE personnel to ensure quality and completeness of preventive maintenance and repairs. * Performing work on systems that provide for a variety of air conditioning functions such as heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering, and circulating of air climate; and operating, maintaining and repairing natural gas fueled hot potable and heating water boilers and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
