Automotive Detailer Supervisor Job Description

The Service Shift Supervisor will assist in overseeing and participating in achieving productivity objectives and the preparation of vehicles according to company quality standards. The Service Shift Supervisor will help direct and motivate our Service Agent personnel who are responsible for producing exceptionally clean, quality vehicles. This person will also assist in the training of Service Agent personnel. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, superior work ethic, good judgment and problem solving abilities. Previous supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Automotive Detailer Supervisor Specific Job Duties

  • Achieve quality and productivity objectives

  • Produce exceptionally clean, quality vehicles

  • Motivate and lead Service Agent staff

  • Assist in internal claims processes within station

  • Process reservations and rentals for Budget Truck customers. Some administrative duties are also required to process rentals and control the fleet.

  • Effectively communicate with Budget Truck customers, responding to all customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner both on the telephone and in person

  • Actively participate quality assurance inspections

  • Reporting all aspects of productivity, quality and shift performance to the Service Manager and Station Manager

  • Perform non-mechanical maintenance such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, refueling vehicles, and checking vehicles for damage as they return

Automotive Detailer Supervisor Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Previous Supervisory Experience is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective verbal communication skills to communicate with customers, co-workers and management

  • Must be able to perform data entry and computer entry tasks

  • Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

  • Ability to work flexible schedules which will include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as scheduled

  • Able to handle confidential information

  • Ability to demonstrate The Five Factors of Credibility: Competence, Character, Composure, Courage and Care for People.

  • Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, ranging from economy cars to large SUVs as well as 26 ft. box trucks

  • Must have a valid state drivers license and no more than 2 moving violations in the current 12 month period

  • No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years
