The Role:

This is the ideal role for a person who truly cares about providing outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who they come in contact with! As an Automotive Counter Parts Sales person, you are looked at as the "face of the retail store" and the go to person as soon as our customers enter our retail stores.

  • Have gained your parts experience by working the automotive industry or have gained your experience tinkering with/repairing cars & trucks through the years

  • You are willing to learn all things automotive if you don't have the background in automotive parts.

A Day in the life:

  • Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers

  • Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores

  • Welcome retail customers into our retail stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience

  • Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system

  • Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members answer questions for customers

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts.

  • High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Love fast paced retail environments

And if you have this, even better:

  • Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.

  • Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision

  • Knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus

  • Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)

  • ASE Certifications

  • NAPA Know How

  • Past experience working for an Independently owned parts store

The Opportunity: Social Service Specialist 3 In-training Do you want to help families and communities safely care for their children? The Department of Children, Youth and Families is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our Child and Family Welfare Services (CFWS) Unit at our King South West office in Kent. You will assess and intervene on assigned referrals or cases to protect children, plan for permanent living arrangements for children, and assure that child health and education needs are met. Some of what you will do: * Assess the need for out-of-home placement and work with the family to find the strongest placement to nurture the child's cultural and family ties. * Provide case management services to facilitate out-of-home placements; review need for continued out-of-home care, and when safe and appropriate, coordinate successful reunification services to parents. * Ongoing assessments of the family's needs and children's health, safety and well-being. * Monitor the health and safety of child by regular visitation in the placement facility. * Provide permanency planning towards reunification, guardianship, adoption, long-term foster care or other arrangements as indicated. * Focus on understanding and respecting the strengths of families including their heritage, cultural beliefs and values, communication and learning styles. * Develop effective partnerships with the family, service providers and others to address primary safety risks and concerns through cultural competency and strength based communication to remove the barriers that brought them to the attention of the department. * Work independently in devising your own work methods to provide an advanced level of specialized, culturally competent, and solution focused case management. * Provide accurate and timely entries into FamLink. * Secure placements for children in foster care. * Facilitate shared planning meetings. The goal class for this position is a Social Service Specialist 3. We are willing to consider candidates at the Social Service Specialist 2 level, with a training plan to advance to a Social Service Specialist 3. Experience is the only difference between qualifications for both levels, and will be evaluated by the hiring manager. Required Qualifications for the Social Service Specialist 3 level: Professionals with one year of experience as a Social Service Specialist 2 OR Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field, and three years of paid social service experience performing functions equivalent to a Social Service Specialist 2. OR Master's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field and two years of paid social service experience equivalent to a Social Service Specialist 2. A practicum will be substituted for the one year of paid social service experience Degrees must be obtained from an accredited institution. Required Qualifications for the Social Service Specialist 2 level: Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field, and two years of paid social service experience performing functions equivalent to a Social Service Specialist 2.
