What You'll Do

From your very first day on the job, you'll receive guidance and coaching so you can learn the ropes. You'll work with everyone from buyers to sellers to dealers in coordinating and validating customer returns and claims. Responsibilities include:

  • Gaining familiarity with arbitration concepts and procedures.

  • Learning and adhering to National Auto Auctions Association (NAAA) arbitration standards, Manheim marketplace policies and relevant legal requirements.

  • Facilitating communication between buyers, sellers and various auction team members to gather the information necessary to guide parties toward agreement and resolution.

  • Investigating claims by obtaining, comparing, evaluating and validating various forms of information.

  • Handling claims from mechanical, structural damage, title issues and undisclosed vehicle damage.

  • Partnering with post-sales inspection teams, vehicle entry/CR writers, front office and security to investigate assigned arbitrations.

  • Engaging with both internal departments and/or third-party vendors to facilitate appropriate inspection, documentation and communication.

  • Coordinating with internal teams (such as recon shops, titles, accounting, dealer services, etc.) to ensure appropriate actions are completed.

  • Engaging with supervisor or manager to determine if escalation is required.

  • Verifying accuracy of all requirement documentation, including invoices and settlement agreements.

Who You Are

You've got a knack for negotiation. You're ethical, dependable and trustworthy. You're eager to learn. You also have the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
