THE POSITION:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Center (BDC) Assistant to join our team. The BDC Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the overall sales and service efforts of the organization. This position involves managing incoming leads, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the BDC.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills, including a friendly, helpful and patient telephone manner.

  • Must have a clear voice and good listening skills.

  • Strong keyboard and phone transferring skills.

  • The ability to use standard office equipment such as photocopiers and multi-line phones.

  • The ability to remain calm when dealing with multiple calls back-to-back.

  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.

  • One to three years related experience and/or training.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience in customer service (No Automotive Necessary)

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages incoming and outgoing operator, sales, and service calls.

  • Knowledge of CRM.

  • Use of computerized telephone directories to find numbers that guests request.

  • Transfer calls to the correct person or department.

  • Answering emails and web chat inquiries.

  • Call, text and email new and pre-existing guests to set sales and service appointments when needed, following the BDR appointment setting guidelines.

  • Use of appropriate scripts.

  • On time and ready to work for scheduled shifts and not walking in the door at that time.

  • Time off needs to be approved by a manager.

  • Work 40 hours per week unless there is an excused absence (illness/doctor's note, PTO etc).

  • Provide official copy of school schedule in advance.

  • Follow company dress code including no sneakers or jeans allowed. (Please see attached policy).

  • Always remain professional and respectful of guest, peers, and management.

  • A phone call must be made and NOT a text to report being absent or late to work to your manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
