In this role, you will be responsible to provide comprehensive architect and design recommendations and solutions to complex supply chain issues, while recognizing operational and logistical inadequacies in fulfillment/distribution centers (FC/DC). Experience in engineering, consulting, operations capacity, managing projects with complex scope that requires system and process implementations, and managing/improving FC/DC processes, supply chain and logistics is strongly preferred.

Supply Chain Systems Analysts job responsibility:

Manages key challenges, such as inventory management, efficient and effective picking & packing, quality control, and timely and cost effective shipping.

Leads supply chain initiatives end-to-end, from understanding customer and business needs to defining and implementing solutions, analyzing results and iterating.

Develops tools and documents for data collection as well as enhances and streamlines the analysis process and standards.

Leads distribution operational assessments with the purpose of generating conclusions and recommending alternatives.

Manages details of how systems, processes and tools work and develop solutions for improvement.

Leads supply chain initiatives end-to-end, from understanding customer and business needs to defining and implementing solutions, analyzing results and iterating.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.


Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education. Prefer an MBA
4+ years of industry experience in physical distribution or logistics industry.

Experience in engineering, consulting, operations capacity is preferred.
2+ years of experience managing projects with complex scope that requires system and process implementations.
2+ years of industry experience managing/improving FC/DC processes, supply chain and logistics.

Supervisory experience in automated materials handling environment with an analytical background.

Proficient competency in the following software:

o AutoCAD

o MS Excel

o MS Project


Database experience

Software Development background preferred.

A unique opportunity has arisen to join a regional procurement office established by Airbus in North Americas to improve its proximity to key propulsion systems Suppliers. Position Summary You will be responsible for determining and improving Airbus' propulsion systems supply chain maturity, performing industrial readiness and quality assessments . Responsible for ascertaining the focus of Airbus supply chain and industrial resources, developing and deploying indicators, collecting and analyzing data to determine where Go-Look-See's are needed and subsequently performing them. You will advise senior management on areas needing escalation and expectations of supply chain support needs. Request Quality and Engineering expertise as needed. Provide ongoing evaluation and assessment of confidence in supplier engine or nacelle delivery commitment against baseline assumptions. Encourage active risk management at suppliers. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining/Lean Six Sigma activities to meet product distribution needs. This position is located in Cincinnati, OH. Accountabilities This job holder is directly accountable to the Senior Director of Propulsion Systems Operations (AAPP) and the Head of Propulsion Systems Operations (AAPP). The job holder will have a significant level of interface with other regional procurement offices, the central Propulsion Operations Procurement team (located in Toulouse, France) and the Vice President of Propulsion Operations Procurement (POP). Dimensions Subordinate employees: none initially but significant potential to take on the leadership of subordinates as the organization grows and subcontracted resource. Operating budget: none Main Activities * Responsible for On Time delivery of Supplier Engine modules or Nacelle assemblies. * Accountable for Local Supplier Industrial Governance (oversight) and applicable Industrial Control Tower KPIs including adherence to master production schedule. * Responsible for the Interface with Local Supplier Industrial Program Leadership, Supplier Operations Leadership, and Supplier Supply Chain Leadership * Responsible for analyzing supplier Lean Six Sigma status and providing feedback on opportunities to improve Lean Manufacturing practices. * Responsible for assessing Supplier new product and life cycle management processes and procedures. * Responsible to establish Supplier Industrial surveillance plan, coordinate Airbus Participation in order to support the Supplier on on-site activities and within its supply chain. * Ensure that the Supplier Industrial surveillance plan takes into full consideration all audits and assessments required in support of Airbus Production Organization Approval. * Responsible to ensure workable end to end industrial planning and regular review of Supplier and its Supply Chains Capital Expenditures, Change Notices, Multi-Sourcing Strategy, and Transfers of Work. * Responsible for regular review and escalation of short term delivery issues, there recovery and coordination of communication to other regional procurement offices and central Propulsion Operations Procurement teams. * Responsible for offering improvements for Supplier industrial management procedures and measure. (Tools, KPI, etc.) * Responsible to visit Supplier Engine module or Nacelle assembly Centers regularly, to review Engine Line of Balance performance, periodically participate in Supplier production review meetings and shop floor tours. * Establish supplier Engine module or Nacelle assembly Centers capacity towards industrial ramp-up and to conduct deep dives with time bound action plans as necessary. * Monitor Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers in region as necessary: Ordering, delivery & Quality performance, Capital expenditure and ramp-up action checks, recovery plan and Quality Notification eradication and if applicable, shop floor tour. * Support the Industrial Quarterly Review (IQR) process and capacity assessments, proactively participate and drive timely action closure. * Develop plans based on time and deliverables for each Supplier and coordinate time bound activities. * Contribute to the deployment of Airbus Supply chain standards, policies, methods and tools towards Suppliers. Outputs * Recurring reports/KPIs/dashboards highlighting progress, mitigated risk and opportunities. * Integration of Supply Chain activities both with other regional procurement offices and central Propulsion Operations Procurement teams. * Integrated supplier picture of overall readiness towards required rates and review the Red/Amber during Control Tower and Industrial Reviews. * Deviation to defined industrial targets is managed, communicated to all stakeholders and corrective action is implemented with Supplier through root cause and eradication methods to mitigate reoccurrence. * Drive AAPP activities for suppliers based in the USA and coordinate with POP for rest of the world. * Supplier is in full compliance with all flow downed requirements in support of Airbus Production Organization Approval with any actions from audits and assessments closed in required timescales. * Timely revision and update of Airbus & Supplier RASCI / Governance documents as needed * Documented improvement in supply chain meeting contractual obligations * Feed strategic/ decisions to achieve engine/aircraft delivery in line with Airbus Multi-Functional Team strategy Qualified Experience / Skills * Ten (10) years' experience in propulsion industrial planning; supply chain management and supplier development required. * Ability to lead an indirect team of Supply Chain professionals be it on Onsite at Suppliers or remotely. * Ability to manage and influence senior leadership at both suppliers and at Airbus * Lean Six Sigma Certified Black Belt desired. * Experience leading industrial capacity planning or capacity assessment activities. * Experience or familiarity with New Product Introduction and Product Life Cycle Management. Ideally, expertise in Advance Product Quality Planning process. * Ability to influence supplier positions so that it aligns with aircraft and airline expectations * Risk management and mitigation experience. * Ability to sort information and apply focus/identify high priority items * Flexibility to absorb new issues * Excellent people and stakeholder relationship management is essential * Strong influencing and negotiating skills * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English * Ability to manage in a multi-cultural environment * Ability to produce independent data, analysis and reporting. * Program management experience. * US Citizenship or US Green Card holder required. Location / Travel Required * Based in Cincinnati, OH as part of an Airbus office in close proximity to a key propulsion systems supplier for Airbus. Travel to engine modules or nacelle assembly centers and vendor sites as needed. * Travel around 50% domestic and some international.
