Automation/Controls Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Automation Engineer position with a client located in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering to be considered for this position. Will be responsible for research, design, and management of the development of the equipment used to monitor and control systems and machinery. Will also identify shortcomings that could be opened by automation, design systems that can automate processes and maintain and repair systems.

Pay/Salary Range $75k-$90k

Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Electrical panel design using AutoCAD drawing software

• PLC process control programming using Allen-Bradley, RSLogix 5000

• HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming with Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware or iFix

• Direct support of clients with new and existing systems

• Control system commissioning as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S

• Potential for network design, object-oriented and relational database programming

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering field is required.

• Minimum Two years related experience.

• Experience with electrical design is required.

• Ladder Logic experience is required.

• PLC experience is required.

• AutoCAD drawing experience is required.
