We have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Tester to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop automation using the UFT (Unified Functional Testing) tool and VB/.NET scripting to mimic data entry of Medicare FISS test claims and other test transaction.

  • Work with Business Analyst and observe keystrokes and understand the processing of the claim in order to automate the test.

  • Other automation of reporting, downloads, etc. may be requested.

  • Document the developed items.

  • Review code written by others and make the necessary changes as well as writing new code from the ground up.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Demonstrated Experience and/or understand of:

  • Descriptive Programming

  • Running scripts in an ALM test set and configuring test artifacts in ALM

  • ALM Open Test Architecture API for integrating UFT and ALM

  • Writing VB functions and manipulating a function based implementation

  • Implementing an execution log and activating the UFT console log

  • Configuring a Shared Object repository and the UFT OR (Object Repository)

  • Setting up a Server and ALM file structure compatible with UFT

  • Implementing UFT script synchronization

  • Terminal Emulator (TE) automation

  • Windows automation

  • Implementing data driven and keyword automation architectures

  • Script parameterization

  • SQL and implementing SQL in a UFT script

  • MS ADO objects and manipulating record sets

  • Variable substitution in a UFT script

  • UFT globals (internal/external) and how to implement

  • .ini and .xml configuration files

  • Standard UFT files and extensions (mts, qfl, vbs, tsr)

  • Methods for associating libraries to a script

  • UFT log reporting and how to implement logging on the server and in ALM

  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office suite of tools.

  • Must be proficient in VB and .NET.

  • Candidate must be a US citizen

We are looking for Automation and Control Programming Engineers to support Systems Engineering Group projects and our growing business in Gannett Fleming's Corporate and Regional Offices. This position will be based out of one of the following offices: Camp Hill (PA), Valley Forge (PA), New York (NY), Piscataway (NJ), Marlton (NJ), Baltimore (MD). Technical Experience: Experience with various control and automation design aspects including but not limited to: * PLC programming using IEC 61131 standards * Familiar with using add-on instructions and predefined HMI faceplates using global asset tagging * Control system architecture/networking design implementing NIST Cybersecurity Standards Tier 1-4 * Server architecture design and configuration using virtual servers with redundancy capability * Webserver server setup and configuration * PLC control and hardwired relay panel design drawings and BOMs * Knowledge of all major communication and I/O protocols * SCADA / HMI programming development (Rockwell and Wonderware required) * Process Historian, Alarm and Event databases, and associated reporting systems * Batch process and PID loops * Ability to understand control narratives and translate into field programming * Conduct factory and field testing of automation systems * Commissioning support Experience with the following Software Platforms is preferred: * AB Rockwell Automation, GE, Modicon, and Control Microsystems PLC platforms * GE, Rockwell Automation, Wonderware HMI / SCADA platforms * AB Rockwell Automation, GE, Schneider Electric OIT platforms * OSI PI, Rockwell historian, GE process historians * VMWare, HyperV * Win911, RACO alarm dialer systems * RSLinx, Kepserver, Archestra * Microsoft Office applications proficiency with SQL, Access, Excel * Autodesk AutoCAD and modeling applications Qualifications: * Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering * Preference will be given to candidates with Professional Engineer License (PE), Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of hire. * Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in automation and controls * Solid knowledge of the consulting engineering profession * Experience in the creation of quality technical solutions and the design delivery of major automation projects. * Ability to travel to client locations as project assignments require * Strong communication skills * Will regularly interface with clients and multidisciplinary project team members * Must have a positive attuite to excellence, continual improvement, and innovation Life at Gannett Fleming For more than 100 years, we've been a leader in global infrastructure solutions with a focus on planning, design, technology, and construction management services for a diverse array of markets and disciplines.
