The technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production equipment such as CNC controls, vacuum furnaces, robotic controls, forge and extrude presses, chemical processing equipment, heat treat ovens, abrasive finish and polish machines, and supporting equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills required
You will perform both electrical and automation control work to make emergency repairs from basic motor controls to complex CNC machinery in order to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
You will read and interpret PLC ladder diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, associated network communication systems, motor drives, and operator interface devices.
You will work with Fanuc controllers, Allen Bradley PLCs, and a wide variety of process control devices.
You will collect and analyze data to perform root cause analysis of production equipment problems.
Be the primary work with operations to help and lead hands-on troubleshooting and formulate/implement solutions via PLC programming and hardware. Oversee and lead vendor assist on automation projects.
You will follow detailed instructions and ensure good housekeeping in your work area.
Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
You will need the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
You will need to work in harmony with others in engineering, quality, management, & operations.
You will perform all tasks at the highest level of safety awareness
