Automation Technician

Automation Technician 100% Onsite Some Relocation Available Responsibilities: Maintain PLCs/DCS, HMI’s, VFD’s in an automated production process.

Must have some experience with Siemens PLC Ability to interpret diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshoot non-functioning components including sensors, and control components. Good mechanical aptitude. Use vendor support systems and work with vendors when extended support is required.

Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools with emphasis on instrumentation, control systems (PLC/DCS) debugging and repairs Familiarity with chemical batch processing and/or paper web controls is a plus Good computer skills. Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and diagrams. Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality Periodically report to Operations/Plant Manager regarding automation capabilities and status Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in a E&I technician role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of OSHA regulations Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude. High School diploma or equivalent. Degree/associate’s degree in electrical/electronic technology or equivalent preferred.
