Responsibilities

Purpose: As part of our Automation team, you will assist with performing all automation/robot repairs, PM's and maintenance as needed. This person will work daily troubleshooting electromechanical systems. General and specific knowledge of PLC's, HMI's, servos, drives, PC troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate would have a strong work ethic and background fixing electromechanical systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:· Keep automation operational. General shop floor support for automation equipment, once training is complete· Support production floor by answering emergency equipment down requests

  • Assist in rebuilding equipment as time allows, during periods of extended, planned downtime· Preventative maintenance on all automation equipment and cleaning of automation equipment· Complete Lockout Tagout training (on-site after hire date)· Understands Importance of food safety, ISO and plant safety policies and is acting example to other employees after being properly trained

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-2 years of direct experience with electromechanical systems strongly preferred.

  • Experience with PLC's, HMI's, servos, drives, PC troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting strongly preferred.

  • Experience with vision systems strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical prints, understand components and systems strongly preferred.

  • Ability to perform certain tasks such as lifting, standing, using lifting devices, exposure to heights of 15-20' with safety harness, and working around stored energy (pneumatics, hydraulics, springs, etc.).
