Automation Solution Architect

Location: Remote position

Must be able to travel 50% + to client sites as needed

Cognizant's Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) practice is seeking an expert Automation Solution Architect to support an emerging Business Process Services (BPS) discipline which combines Data Acquisition, Robotic Process Automation, and Point Solutions to bring together the worlds of Digital and Process for more than 120 clients in industries such as banking and financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, and technology. We are seeing record growth within every one of our market practices and are looking for talent leader to help shape our future.

Responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect you will have responsibility for establishing and sustaining processes and practices that support process automation solutions and applications. You will work both independently and collaboratively to design and develop Automation. You have a very deep knowledge in RPA tools. You will also have strong experience in designing solutions, with 6 years of experience leading in a software development role; 10 years of overall software development experience. A great teammate with experience leading and collaborating across teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to audiences. A results oriented individual that will be able to produce product solutions that deliver organizational benefit. Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude Ability to develop solution architecture designs.

Skill Set:

  • Validated technical experience in an IT programming development environment, in tools like (UI Path / Automation Anywhere / BluePrism / WorkFusion/Pega Open Span/WinAutomation or any other RPA toolkit)

  • Hands on development experience in any of the programming languages/platforms .NET / VB / VC++ / C++/J2EE. Experience in Microsoft stack is desireable.

  • You will conduct research for technical solutions and guide the developers during the project implementation.

  • Experience in leading new development projects (from the technology/architecture point of view) is highly preferred

  • Ability to understand the business process and craft process flow diagrams

  • You will develop solutions (along with alternatives) to automate the business processes using RPA platforms, and other available products/utilities (both internal and external).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages such as MS Excel (VBA scripting), MS Visio, MS Access, and MS Word

  • Experience in VB Script, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Bash or Power shell is helpful

  • Experience in Hadoop and elastic search is desirable.

  • Strong in requirement gathering and analysis (ability to work with a structured and disciplined approach, combined with an enquiring mind)

  • Strong in design principles and modular programming techniques

  • Hands on in converting the business requirements into solution design - building end-to-end automation process solutions

  • Preferred to have any of the .NET/Java developer certifications

  • Prefer PMP or CSM certification

  • Prefer to have exposure to managing projects using Agile methodology
