You will be responsible for
Testing mobile eBay native apps for different mobile products on smart phones - iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets.
Testing the mobile apps using simulators (iOS, Android and MobileWeb clients)
Creating and implementing test plans and test cases
Creating automation tests with JUnit, XCTest, Espresso, Appium, web driver
Participating in release planning, go/no-go meeting & coordinating release processes
Working closely with the product and development teams (both remote and local) to understand product requirements, architecture and technologies
Filing, tracking and reporting defects
Reporting progress, risks and test coverage effectively
Configuring defect and test management tools
Managing QA devices and environments
Mentoring team members
Providing technical guidance to the team
Researching and evaluating new technologies / tools for building better test automation
Participating in innovation channels at eBay
Presenting at tech conferences
Love eBay and Mobile devices!
proficiency in one of the programming languages Swift, Objective C or Java is a must.
Will have to
Test web and mobile applications
Test Java based web services
Test on mobile devices - iPad, iPhone, Android phones and tablets
Use Mac and Windows with mobile devices and simulators
Interact effectively across multiple departments and groups
Apply various QA methodologies
Use programming skills to create tools/automation code bug fixes
Use Java, XML, etc for everyday test/automation tasks
Write JUnit tests for the product under development
Estimate the efforts to test, create and maintain automation tests
Use tools like SOAP UI, Charles Proxy
Debug web service layer related issues from front end layers
Work on fixed deadlines
Be comfortable with changing priorities
Should have 5+ years of relevant work experience
