This casual and flexible company is searching for an Automation Engineer / Build Release Engineer who can Blaze the trail for automation, continuous integration and delivery. You will be a critical part of this team, looking to who can automate critical manual processes. As an Automation Engineer / Build Release Engineer, you will not be silo'ed on projects and get to work very closely with the business and be in an impact role!

In key position, you will have the opportunity to be in a role where you will be consulted by leadership, give direction, and be heard! You will also get the opportunity to do coding and jump in on projects when needed as well. Technical skills needed are : .NET Development, Scripting ? JavaScript, Powershell, and Automation experience ? like working with Selenium, Jenkins.

VIEW JOBS 12/23/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-23T00:00 Position Description The Senior Automation Engineer (SAE) is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the enterprise automation strategy, automation framework and tools. The SAE is responsible for researching, developing and incorporating engineering best practices and will train other team members on all aspects of automation testing, monitoring and tools. The SAE will design, develop, analyze and maintain automation plans and scripts and execute them to ensure quality requirements are met. The SAE is a member of the Quality Management Office (QMO) and operates in an agile environment. Position Accountabilities * End-to-end ownership of enterprise test automation strategy, processes, frameworks and tools. * Serve as test automation subject matter expert, providing coaching and mentoring to junior Automation Engineers, Technical Test Analysts and other team members. * Analyze, evaluate and recommend test automation tools, coordinate proof-of-concept testing, training and implementation. * Serve as test tool administrator. * Set automation goals in close collaboration with quality management, development teams, product management and others. * Serve as a liaison from the QMO with development teams to assist with test automation related issues. * Lead automation testing initiatives and identify appropriate frameworks and tools with the goal of increasing testability and decreasing risk. * Interpret test plans to understand strategies, priorities, schedules and expectations of automated testing tasks. * Create and maintain automated test suites. * Identify, analyze, report and retest defects found during test automation. * Promote and support enterprise testing practices. * Perform feasibility assessments and help others identify test automation candidates. * Review, maintain and execute automated scripts. * Evangelize automation engineering best practices across the organization. * Document engineering best practices, standards and guidelines. * May assist scrum development teams by participating in the following testing activities: * Participate in story sizing, release planning and sprint planning * Project test automation * Create automation strategy (project) * Release test planning * Sprint planning * Write automated new functionality and regression scripts * Execute automated scripts and analyzes results * Automated continuous testing within CI/CD pipeline * Build technical and business knowledge of the applications through hands-on experience, peer-partner learning, and training opportunities. * Develop awareness of latest test automation technologies and tools through self-learning, training and educational opportunities, and attending/joining professional organizations. Position Requirements * AA or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience may be accepted. * Seven or more years' experience leading, designing and executing test plans and test cases. * Seven or more years' experience collaborating with technical staff and business users. * Five or more years' of test automation development experience with open source and market-leading solutions creating functional, regression and performance tests. * Hands-on experience using automation tools such as Visual Studio, Specflow, Selenium, Postman, JMeter. * Advanced software testing background through hands-on experience with functional, non-functional and automated testing. * Advanced understanding of the SDLC process including analysis, design, development, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning. * Advanced understanding of agile testing practices. * Experience working with and testing API/Restful services. * Experience with performance testing including design, development, implementation and reporting. * Experience developing and maintaining test data sets and associated documentation. * Ability to lead large, extra- large or complex automated testing initiatives and identify appropriate frameworks and tools. * Ability to create and maintain automated test suites. * Ability to interpret test plans to understand strategies, priorities, schedules and expectations of automated testing tasks. * Ability to review functional requirements and other documentation for testability, gaps and cohesiveness.
