Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio
Lead adoption of automated processing in Columbus Forge Blades factory with responsibilities including procurement, installation, and development of automated systems within blade manufacturing
Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace airfoils
Develop plans and processes to align with our growth strategy to support the next generation of aerospace propulsion systems
Drive integration of Visual Factory and Factory 4.0 by integrating existing machine centers and inspection equipment into plant network and instrument legacy equipment to enable integration
Develop data collection requirements and infrastructure in conjunction with IT and external vendors to provide visibility to utilization, productivity and dimensional trending
Perform research and development activities to support reduction of manual operations and simplification of value streams within factory by introducing automated lines to existing equipment
Lead the ACE journey to continuously improve the quality and exceed customer's expectations
Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures
This position is part of Columbus Forge Blades talent growth strategy to maintain our competitive advantage in the airfoil industry
Interact with part family & process engineering, operations and maintenance teams to understand needs and build business cases for implantation of automation and robotics as factory moves forward with lean manufacturing transition
Create capital plans and specify equipment to meet the growing needs of the manufacturing unit
