What you'll be doing...
You will lead and manage a diverse team of employees across multiple geographical locations and drive automation, develop tools, and drive technology transformation programs for Verizon Wireless (VZW) billing applications. You will transform the organization to a modern engineering organization with focus on automation and emerging technologies.
Lead multiple complex billing and rating projects related to 4G and 5G wireless services; deliver flawless releases; improve production quality to 99%.
Lead SDLC, CICD, and testing automation using best of class open source platforms.
Lead and drive business and IT KPIs; transform the team from manual to automated, agile, DevOps organization by training existing employees, hiring and retaining right talent and be the change agent.
Lead and drive strategic projects, implement new tools & processes; and deliver business objectives like "grow revenue", "improve customer experience" and "build V Team Culture".
Understand and anticipate potential customer billing experience issues and prevent these type of issues through quality controls.
Work closely with offshore (VDSI) and vendor teams to deliver projects on-time.
Set goals for self and for the team; work closely with various stake holder; provide new concepts, ideas, solutions and mold the team to achieve results.
Allocate and redeploys own and/or team's resources to execute priorities.
Work with leadership team and provide weekly program updates.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in wireless 3G, 4G, IoT rating, alerting, and billing systems.
Experience in leading technical and functional teams or projects.
Experience in LINUX, RDBMS, APIs, SQL, JAVA, Python, and Scripting.
Knowledge of Automation.
Even better if you have:
Knowledge of MF, open system, open source, industry tools, test automation methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with Process Automation.
Six or more years of experience in leading transformation related to technology, process.
Six or more years of experience associated with telecom OSS and BSS systems.
Six or more years of experience in System Integration, Conversions, and migration.
Knowledge of DevOps and tools such as Jira, Jenkins.
Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated strong people and project management skills.
