Automation - Field Service Engineer - Remote

At Valmet you'll be part of our regional services team and apply your skills and experiences to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers facilities near Buffalo, NY. 

As a Service Engineer you will play a critical role in supporting our customers’ operations by ensuring their equipment is running at optimum levels. You'll work with cutting edge technology and tools to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers' facilities located across North America. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, proactive maintenance, troubleshooting & problem resolution. In addition to performing calibration checks.

Expectations

To excel in the role, you must be technical oriented with a problem solving mindset to be able to identify and develop possible solutions.  You must be able to work independently, however have no fear you will be surrounded by a team of subject matter experts to support you.  In this role, you are expected to travel at least 20% of the time throughout North America and on occasion international.

 Successful candidate will have a 2-year degree or military background in electro-mechanical capacity.  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical engineering a plus but not required.
