Job Description:

As an Automation Test Engineer, this team member will be working as a

developer for various automation projects including but not limited to

performance testing, automating API testing, automating UI testing, developing

various tools and frameworks. They must have the skills needed to understand

the business process flow, and model the functional, performance/load test

scenarios, development of test scripts using various tools like Coded UI,

Selenium, J-meter, Soasta's CloudTest,

and any custom coded solution.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience developing test automation or combination of

development and test automation

  • Hands on experience in one or more major programming languages: JAVA, C#,

C++,

  • Good understanding of object oriented concepts

  • Strong experience on Automation frameworks design and development from

scratch

  • Hands on experience on test automation of APIs (SOAP and REST services)
  • Hands-on experience of developing scripts, designing test scenarios, test

execution, monitoring, analyzing results and reporting results.

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated QA experience

in a SDET or QAE role.

  • Hands on experience in Selenium, Soap UI or similar tools.

  • Proficient with developer tools and IDEs, such as Visual studio,

Eclipse/Intellij

  • Experience working with any source control. Git/TFS

  • Experience with unit, integration, performance and security testing

  • Knowledge on deployment automation, continuous integration, build automation

tools (TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity).

  • Ability to do effective communications with all stakeholders. Strong written

and verbal communication skills.

  • Conversant with Agile/Scrum development methodology.

Wish to Have

  • Experience working in Development with C#, ASP.NET or in Java environment.

  • Experience with one of tools like Soasta's CloudTest, Jeer , Blazemeter etc.

  • Experience with New Relic Application Monitoring Tool

  • Experience with GIT is preferable.

Designs building automation network architecture to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, third party integration devices connected through Ethernet, Siemens P2 or BACNET. * Creates automation system database and job related programming for computer-based building control systems. * Establishes special calibration instructions on selected equipment. Oversees or performs the creation of system graphics. * Troubleshoots possible issues including identifying and debugging software, electrical or pneumatic and installation problems. * Organizes and maintains the job folder and updates pertinent job related information. * Prepares engineering re-estimate reports, minimizes variances and justifies. * Provides on-site assistance with or performs the programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning and validation processes. Participates in job site final walk-through on assigned jobs, completes all job closeout documentation and provides customer training. * Acts as a technical resource to existing customers and field employees as needed. * Coordinates work with subcontractors. * Must be able to perform all tasks with minimal supervision or coaching.
