Automation Engineer - Deltav

The Automation Engineer will oversee and supervise work with our clients in the areas of design, installation, commissioning, qualification and troubleshooting of automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the scope, deliverables, schedule, and project team for capital expenditure automation projects, working cross-functionally as approproate.

• Work directly with project controls using P6 & OPPM.

• Develop and support system configurations and associated testing.

• Perform regular field walkdowns and prepare reports needed to drive Electrical and Mechanical (instrument and tubing) construction to completion. This includes instrument installation, wiring, tubing, control panel modifications and conduit routing.

• Review and comment on vendor submittals, maintain site engineering standardization.

• Survey existing field conditions as required to support addition of new equipment and design changes.

• Respond to RFIs and provide troubleshooting to project team, automation, and system owners.

• Provide status reporting to project management.

Qualifications

• AS, BS or MS in Engineering or related discipline

• 10 years of automation experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries

• Understanding of PLC-based and PC-based programming on a wide variety of platforms including DeltaV, Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley

• Familiarity of Delta V control modules

• Ability to relate with people at all levels within an organization, including diverse cultures

• Willingness to travel and flexible to work outside of core business hours, as needed.
