Required:

  • Weber FDS and Henrob SPR System knowledge

  • X-section knowledge

  • Aluminum Laser Welding understanding

  • Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products

  • Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.

  • Manage and direct statistical process control activities

  • Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis

  • Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently

  • Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Department, Production and Suppliers

  • Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions

Experience Required:

  • Supervise Hourly Inspection Employees

  • Develop and manage joining techniques, materials, and technologies

  • Apply knowledge of joining technology; equipment controllers; and gun design and evaluation techniques

  • Execute and verify processes and procedures

  • Implement the certification strategy

  • Understand schedule development

  • Implement control plans and requirements

  • Must have experience and be able to independently troubleshoot all Body automation equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for quality and delivery improvements

  • Must have experience with Rockwell Allen Bradley PLC5 and Control Logix software

  • Must be able to coordinate the automation team for current and future actions

  • Must establish processes to ensure equipment is operating to current specifications

  • Must prioritize repairs of any down equipment

  • Ensure PM's are correct and/or modified for the current DTP environment and schedule to prevent break downs based on historical data

  • Ensure PM's are completed in a timely manner

  • Communicate with other client Body Shops and Global Body Engineering to implement best practices where appropriate

  • Job will consist of shift rotations as required

  • A Crew: Monday-Thursday 5:30am to 5:00pm, B Crew: Thursday-Friday 5:00pm to 4:30am. C Crew: Friday-Saturday 5:30am to 5:00pm and Sunday-Monday 5:00pm to 4:30am.

Experience Preferred:

  • Previous automotive, engineering and quality analysis experience

  • Prior supervisory experience managing a unionized work force

  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

GET TO KNOW THE ROLE: The primary focus of the Quality Automation Engineer is to create and maintain functional automated testing scripts. The ideal candidate for this position has experience coding as well as functional, unit, load testing automation for software, web and mobile applications. This is not a standard QA Role. This is a Junior Developer role specifically designated for Test Automation. Essential Responsibilities: * 30% Quality Control Process Ownership * Review and Maintain our current automated testing scripts/processes * Develop new automated testing scripts/processes * Collaborate with other Engineers, Architects, Quality Assurance, System Engineers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters in solving new and existing technical challenges * 50% Validation of Quality Applications * Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates * Write test cases/scripts * Analyze and determine proper testing procedures/processes * Managing a defect log, issue resolution and validation of the fix * Develop, Document and Maintain testing strategies and testing scenarios * 10-20% Development Job Requirements Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education/experience. * 2+ years of testing experience, preferably in an Agile development environment * Experience with Selenium IDE/RC or other testing suites for Web * Experience with Web Standards philosophies and modern XHTML/HTML/HTML5/CSS markup * Experience writing efficient SQL queries * Experience working in an Agile environment. * Experience with testing web applications * Knowledge a programming language such as PHP, JavaScript, Java, Android, iOS, Python, Ruby, Go, Node, Perl, Shell/Bash/Scripting * Experience with source control such as Git, SVN * 1+ years Linux/Ubuntu experience * Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines * Excellent oral and written communication skills It would be great if you also had: * PostgreSQL Database Design with some basic administration * Symfony2, Laravel, Zend or similar framework experience * Experience with SOAP, REST or similar web service * Search technologies such as ElasticSearch or SOLR * Message Queue technologies such as RabbitMQ or ZeroMQ * Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment * Automation technologies such as Ansible or Puppet * Git source control and Gitflow git workflow * Unit Testing, Test Driven Development, Functional Testing * Command Line, Bash, VIM, Shell Scripting * Experience with Atlassian product such as Jira, Confluence, Stash, Bamboo and Crowd North American Bancard reserves the right to alter this description at any time.
